Wine from Valdepeñas

D.O. VALDEPENAS is located in south central Spain. Their grapes are typically: Cencibel, red, (called Tempranillo in Rioja) and Airén, white, as well as Garnacha and Cabernet among others. It is important to mention that the acidity of the Tempranillo grape in Valdepeñas D.O. is less than in other D.O.s (Rioja), so the aging of the wines can be achieved with less time spent maturing in oak casks.
