Kawarau Estate Sauvignon Blanc
grape variety:  Sauvignon Blanc
style:  Dry Unoaked White
winery:  Kawarau Estate
region:  Cromwell
country:  New Zealand
vintage:  2003/4
alcohol:  12%

This vineyard is on the Southern Island and further south than more famous wine area Marlborough.

The Kawarau Estate organic vineyard draws strongly on the essence of the land in making fine wines. There are no herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or synthetic fertilizers to be found at their vineyard, which has been certified organic since 1996.

They apply only sound environmental practice, combined with local knowledge and the age-old traditions of viniculture. In practice this means doing things a little differently - such as applying our own fertiliser made from the pips and skins of the fruit put aside at harvest time.
Organic and delicious

Tasting notes
This wine is made in a dry style. It displays a complex and powerful aroma reminiscent of passionfruit and mangoes, the palate is clean with a passionfruit & mango flavour profile, crisp acid and a long lingering aftertaste.
